I don’t remember where or when I got this bottle. Is it mine? Well, too late. We did a light dinner of cheese, dried sausage, olives, some fish spread, etc. And this bottle was the first one I grabbed.
Popped and poured. For a 10 year old wine, it’s bright garnet in color, no bricking. On the nose, nice earthiness, a little baking spice, a bit of strawberry. The nose kinda reminds me of Nerello Mascalese. On the palate, very bright fruited, with strawberry notes most prominent, juicy acidity, and soft tannins give a little grip on the finish. Pretty good pinot fruit, that seems a little BoJoish. Very nice and drinking very well right now.
