TN: 2005 J.K. Carriere Chardonnay (USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley)

2005 J.K. Carriere Chardonnay - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (6/26/2009)
WIML90

Tasted June 26, 2009.

Opened and served immediately. Yellow to dark yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of pear, brown spices, lychee amd white apricots. Flavors of soaked pears, yellow apples. a dash of tropical fruits resting on a bed of minerals. Medium acidity and body. Drink pretty much now. (90 pts.)

Nice notes and good find. Haven’t had a chardonay from Oregon yet. Maybe it is time to try one.

IMHO, there are many very worthy Willamette Valley Chards and they are fast overtaking Pinot Gris as the go-to white for the region.
