This is one of the darkest and purest Merlots I have ever encountered. Black cherries with caramel. Camphor, tar, and violets. Cabernet sized tannins. This is lush and pure and has a structure and balance that make this a real winner. 93/100
Great wines and great people. Jeff Gargiulo is a good friend of mine. He was CEO of Sunkist Brands and gave it up for the joys of growing and selling wine. Nice guitar player as well. We have jammed more than a few times.
