TN: 2005 Frédéric Magnien Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Baudes

  • 2005 Frédéric Magnien Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Baudes - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru (10/2/2009)
Splash decant for about an hour. A good does of oak initially on the nose but the airtime in the decanter brought out additional aromas of black cherries and some earth. Quite delicate on the palate with good texture and length. This should age nicely for at least another decade. (90 pts.)

I’ve started buying more Magnien. Kind of replaced Girardin as my ‘bargain’ Burgundy as Girardin has gotten more expensive.
