TN: 2005 Faust

Darkest blackest cherries and cola. Subdued nose. The palate has a silky feel. The tannins are big and angular. Nice acidity. Agee A few years in bottle will surely be key for this on. A great second wine of Quintessa 91/100

I recently had the 05 as well. Although I felt it was quite tannic also, I think time will allow this to be a great bottle of wine at still a “reasonable” price

This wine is made from stuff that does not make the final Q blend, but also some purchased fruit (Dr. Crane for example) as well as some fruit from Agustin Hunneus’ vineyard in Coombsville. Glad to say I helped make this wine in the cellar. [wow.gif]

Then let me say this: Thanks!

What’s the Q blend?

Quintessa.

The Faust can sometimes be found for $42ish. Jump when you see it.

Found these in my local shop today for $38 for the 750’s. They had 1.5’s and 375’s as well.
