    From Garagiste and pooped and poured. A very sturdy and structured Aglianico, offering little concession to those who need their fruit at the riper end of the spectrum or the assurance of new oak influenced vanilla flavors. The nose carries a snappy red cherry edge, with a good dose of resinous smoke. The cherry flavors extend to the palate, but are surrounded by the Aglianico del Vulture Soil, and fairly aggressive tannins on the back half and on the finish. This did mellow somewhat in the glass, but clearly this excellent wine needs time. A very good value. (91 pts.)

We loves us some Fucci, but both my wife and I found this really disjointed, scattered and hot. Second bottle a month later too. Have another 1/2 case from the Big G and expect it to come around.

Interesting… I’ve accumulated about 5 or so different random Aglianicos from Garagiste lately. I think I might do a blind line up of them, which would include both the 04 and 05 of this wine.
