TN: 2005 Edmunds St. John Rocks and Gravel (USA, California)

This has fleshed out a bit more since the winter. Really a terrific bottle of wine.

This baby is really growing into its shoes. It’s a Cali Cotes du Rhone if there ever was one. Smoke and meat on the nose, the palate is exuberant, fresh and lively with strawberry fruit and a flinty-mineral note that just focuses everything. With time, sweet blueberry fruit emerges. Worth every freaking cent of the $16 I paid for it. Bravo ESJ.

Sounds pretty damn good for a low brow CdR wannabe. [shrug.gif]

Oh yeah, it’s good. Beyond good. Look forward to seeing how this does with 5 more years.
Kudos Steve and ESJ crew.
