2005 Domaine Michel David Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine Clos du Ferré Sur Lie - France, Loire Valley, Pays Nantais, Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine (5/4/2012)
Fresh rainy concrete with bits of straw and grapefruit on the nose. Richly charactered fruit as many whites get with some age. Stony white grapefruit and straw. This has integrated nicely making the finish clean and married to the fruit. Lots of minerality in this. Maybe even better on the second night in terms of secondary mineral notes versus fruit. Very nice. No rush here though the cork was soaked through pretty high and the wine is in a nice place.
