2005 Domaine du Grand Tinel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Alexis Establet - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape (5/5/2009)
Popped and poured, enjoyed over two hours. Very earthy nose upon opening, beautiful Châteauneuf funk. Black cherry, spice flavors dominate, smooth. Long, spicy finish. Paired well with white clam pizza and an heirloom tomato, avocado, mozzarella and goat cheese salad. Saving 1/2 the bottle under cork until tomorrow.
