TN- 2005 Dom. de Fontsainte Corbieres "Reserve la Demoiselle"

My first experience with Fontsainte and its quite good.

This sucker is bloody, lots of beef here… the fruit is woven nicely into the sauvage and rustic tones of this delightful “country” wine. It’s mostly 100 year old vine Carignane with just a bit of Mourvedre (which pokes through on the nose and finish pretty substantially) and a good hit of Grenache Noir. Leather, lots of garrigue, anise and dried black cherries smack the olfactory around. Not a trace of heat, a very well made wine that satisfies both the novice and the geek in me.

Stupid value for under $18 on a shelf. [winner.gif]

Wines like this are why I am ITB-Thank you Kermit!
