I think that’s one of the affiliated labels of Daniel Rion…he’s one of Daniel’s three sons who makes a few wines himself/with his wife. Not really a seaparate domaine…

For example, Patrice Rion has two labels…one for wines from grapes he buys; the other for wines from grapes he owns. But…it’s the same place.

Apparently, what was Olivier Rion is now Domaine Jean-Charles Rion.

From the Moore Brothers site (in your neck of the woods):

“This is the renamed Domaine Olivier & Anne Marie Rion estate. In addition to his responsibility as chef de cave at Domaine Daniel Rion in Prémeaux, which his father established in 1955, Olivier Rion produces elegant, structured Burgundies from vineyards inherited by his wife Anne-Marie, and parcels they lease, or have purchased in recent years. In 2008, Olivier and Anne-Marie bought a wonderful old stone winery and cellar in the heart of Nuits St. Georges, where their son Jean-Charles has joined them, and where the first wines were made in 2009.”

I made the mistake of mentioning Olivier during a visit to Patrice Rion in 2011. Maxime was rather frosty on the topic, and I changed the subject very quickly.
