TN: 2005 Château des Anneraux (France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Lalande de Pomerol)

  • 2005 Château des Anneraux - France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Lalande de Pomerol (7/2/2009)
Fine ruby color. On the nose, hints of violets and powdered cocoa. On the palate, powerful with notes of red and black licorice, cherry and plum fruit, and faint notes of spice. It follows with a classic “watery” midpalate and a strong finish with notes of earth and herbaceousness followed by tannin and glycerin. Very nice with about an hour of breathing time. (88 pts.)

Guess a pretty good price Brent? What is the blend ?

Bob,

Yes, another Diageo C&E dump so the price was nice. I’d have to reconfirm this later but I believe the blend was 83% Merlot, 12% Cab Franc and 5% Cab Sauv.
