2005 Château Clos des Jacobins - France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru (11/8/2008)
Slow-oxed for about 6 hours and then quickly double decanted (could have used even more time). Voluptuous notes of ripe cherries, black currants, crushed raspberries, Indian spices, dark chocolate, and vanillin oak. Expansive on the palate with sweet tannins and a long caressing finish. This is a sexy wine with a lot of personality. 91-92 points. (91 pts.)
