2005 Chasseur Pinot Noir Sexton - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (1/16/2010)
More of a classic RRV Pinot nose than what Chasseur SVD wines typically deliver - the clean smell of something freshly washed, florals, bright red fruits, cola, and perfume. A hit of acidity on the palate, bright red fruits, more cola, some light herbaceousness, and still a bit of heat. Finish is quite good, highlighting the tart red fruits and freshness/clean aspect. I expect this to improve with some air. (90 pts.)
