TN;2005 Chambolle Musigny G.Roumier

after question and answers, though is worth a look.
Ruby red
raspberries,red cherries(easy alcoholic),forest soil,touch of chocolate,really spicy.
More time,roses,minty fresh,so pure.
Sappy, tempting, good acidity backbone,full-bodied,sexy chambolle sweetness, smoothed tannins and integrated wood.
Long, red fruits-easy sweet aftertaste.
Young but not to young. Is really good and not closed(cellared all years 12°C).
With more time,darker,plums.

simply a stunning burgundy(for its level?or are “hierarchy points” simply do not living up to many village examples ?)
you don`t understand my text, simply version “is really good stuff”

Thanks. I have more than a few of these. I appreciate the note.

Great note and agree.

Another '05 that is drinking quite well now…

only one wine-searcher pro source for $245 per 750 bottle! That is grand cru pricing!

really crazy. But good vintage + name gives sometimes not realistic prices.
bought in 2008 , 6 for 390$.(sounds many better)

This was widely available at under $100 way back when it was released. I bought my first case at about $65 US. Next case was a little under $70. Very soon this one got over $100 with all vintages. It was gorgeous from the beginning and really shut down hard.

I am glad this is starting to drink. Thanks Roman.

Although I only have a few of those I appreciate the note as well

2005 was the vintage where pricing got too high for me on this. Sounds like I missed a nice wine.

Thanks Roman. I think of Chambolle as the epicentre of quality in that anomolously brilliant vintage - many of the village wines tasted like really great 1ers in 2005…

many thanks at all,
second day(opened bottle) is the wine also open, really tempting, full flavoured, darker(fruits).
Magnum would be better (for the third day) [cheers.gif]
