  • 2005 Château de Candale - France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru (12/10/2008)
    Aroma – heavy cinnamon, a little orange zest. Palate – black licorice & thyme. Heavy tannins.
    I really enjoyed this wine, but it definitely needs a few years to loosen up. Nice value at $32. (90 pts.)

    Apricot, apricot, apricot. Great weight and texture. One of the best, and most consistent, dessert wines I have ever experienced. (95 pts.)
