Tasted July 25, 2009 at a retail tasting.
Purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of briar patch, graphite, wet stones and boyesenberry. Rich flavors of black cherries, black berries and cassis. Somewhere between a medium to long finish. Medium to bright acidity, firm tannins, full bodied. Hold until the medium term and then drink into the longer term. Once the weather cools here I’ll be buying some for the cellar this Fall. (93 pts.)
