Tasted October 10, 2009 at a retail tasting.

Purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose started off with a little fertilizer followed by notes of smoke, dark chocolate, bacon and a bit of black berries. Flavors of black berries and chocolate covered cherries. Light to medium acidity, light to medium tannins, light to medium body. Drink over the short term, maybe the medium term. (89 pts.)
