2004 Weingut Keller Dalsheimer Hubacker Riesling Spätlese Goldkapsel - Germany, Rheinhessen (3/15/2020)
PnP drunk over two days.
Golden color. Slate, kaffir lime, asian pear, honey, and white florals on the nose. Really lovely youthful to middle aged in development, with a tiny hint of petrol. On the palate it’s expansive and rich for a spatlese, but still with excellent cut and freshness that keeps it all in balance. There’s more honey, pear, and florals, all with an outstanding balance of RS, acid, soil, and fruit. Finishes long yet clean. I really enjoy '04 in general. It seems to be a vintage that’s been drinking well for many years, and this wine is no exception. Drinking well with time in hand. (92 pts.)
