TN: 2004 Verget Puligny-Montrachet (France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet)

Another fantastic Verget…another fantastic 2004! Bright golden yellow color, nose of peaches, baked apples, white flowers, chalky lemon minerals. Great creamy and tight mouthfeel…same flavors as the nose, add some honey butter, smoky flint, super crisp and refreshing stones and spices. For my palate, this wine is at a perfect place right now…again, as it warms to cellar temp, it really shines. Temp is really key with these White Burgs! Wish I had more of this. (93 pts.)

Wow, sounds wonderful!

Is this the ‘regular’ bottling or the Sous le Puis?

Must be the reg as I don’t see any Sous le Puis on the lable.

LOVE these Verget’s with the screw caps! I wonder if anyone has had any premox show up with screw caps?
