2004 Verget Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons Les Epinottes - France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis 1er Cru (12/10/2009)
A richer, darker funked Chablis than I’m use to. The fruit is creamy and tropical, yet nerved nicely with lemon/lime, grapefruit acidity, and tart green apple skins. What really interests me is the funk and honeyed spice. Gorgeous mixture of sea funk, and a chalky, dusty, honey and brioche spice. Add the minerals, smoky flint, ginger ale, lemons-n-stones…LOVE THIS WINE! Verget just “does it” for me. And don’t get me started on how WONDERFUL the 2004 Vintage is…

Was this the only vintage produced of this wine? Cellar Tracker only shows this one year? Anyone have any experience with it?
