TN: 2004 Spreitzer "303" Gold Cap Spatlese

2004 Spreitzer “303” Gold Cap Spatlese

Bright golden yellow.

Huge creamy intense celestial apricot, peach, nectarine with a squeeze of key lime & sweaty aromatic blackcurrant bush. Spicy/creamy mango & starfruit.
Super ripe, rich, juicy, sexy, exotic nose with incredible freshness at the same time. Genius fruit & winemaking.
Beautiful balance of botrytis & ripe fresh fruit.

Big, round rich & savory fruit. Perfect balance of fruit, sweetness, botrytis, acidity & body.
Same amazing apricot, peach, nectarine, key lime & sweaty blackcurrant fruit on palate. Fresh, rich, deep, exotic, powerful, persistent, concentrated & long.
Great balance. Long flavor with fresh peach, apricot & key lime in the firm but exotic & fresh finish.

Intensely vibrant with creamy, exotic fresh fruit.

Words really do start to fail with this kind of juice.

BRAVO! Amazing stuff . . . as usual for the “303”

Indeed Rob, this is amazing stuff. Loved this 04 version, too.

Riesling rules…

Thanks for the note. We had a bottle of the 2001 on Saturday night. This line sums it up as well - “Big, round rich & savory fruit. Perfect balance of fruit, sweetness, botrytis, acidity & body”.

Nice Jeff! Haven’t had an '01. I only got in on the “303” action starting with the '03 vintage & have grabbed it every year since.

Have never had a bottle less than (at least!) semi-spectacular.

Haven’t cracked an '08 yet, and now I’m getting curious about '09!!! [drinkers.gif]

Cheers!

Absolutely Martin!

LOVE this stuff!
Can’t wait to crack an '08 . . . and am wondering how good the '09 is … ?

Have you tasted the '09 version yet?

Prost! [cheers.gif]

The '09 was outrageous a few weeks ago.

Thanks Lyle.

Not surprised at all!

Can’t wait 'til that baby’s out!
