TN: 2004 Soter Brut Rosé Beacon Hill (USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley)

Nice nose of strawberry and rose petal. Crisp, clean and very refreshing on a warm evening with grilled chicken breast and a crisp salad. A very solid sparkler but I’m still not convinced it’s worth $40. (90 pts.)

I had the '03 from Soter and enjoyed it a lot.

What do you think is better at the same or cheaper price point?

For roughly the same price, I’d go with the Duval-Leroy rose.

There are probably dozens but off the top of my head the Camille Saves are far better for the price. Also Marc Chauvet.

I’ve ever seen CS rose at $40 around here; it’s usually in the $60s. Will check out the MC though…
