Quite light cherry color with some cloudiness. Great nose of funky earth, mushrooms and pine needles with just a hint of grandma’s cherry/apple pie. Quite light on the attack and mid palate but with a pronounced and long finish, primarily sweet dark cherry and minerals that lingers for a good minute. Bottle time has helped and this will continue to get better for quite a few years.
Nice note, Jud. I drank my last bottle of this late last year, I think it was, and it was terrific. I think Adam’s Oregon wines are pretty underrated. He gets excellent fruit expression and also very tasty complexity.
Thanks. I’ve got a couple of 02’s of this on tap…
