TN: 2004 Roulot Meursault Vireuls

Simple village lieu dit.

Wow!

This has the symmetry that I look for in great White Burgundy.
Everything is integrated. If you want more minerality, get the Perrieres.
If you want more seductive fruit, get the Charmes or Porozot.

If you want a wine that hits all the pleasure centers and is Chardonnay based, this is it.

After a pretty good non -oxidized 2002 Fevre Bougros, this is like the beauty with the Fevre being the Beast.

Roulot rocks!

+1

Thanks for the note. I love this stuff.

05 is killer as well…

Can’t keep my hands off this stuff! 3rd bottle, and still wonderful! What I love about this wine is the clean crisp lemon tang acidity that’s not too sharp or sour, because it’s surrounded by cushioning minerals and stones. Then, you have the nutty nuance, the match strike, and a little honey butter to hold it all together. In the end…it’s the crisp lemon tarts that make it dance in the mouth. Could drink this ALL DAY LONG! (95 pts.)
