2004 Mount Edward Pinot Noir - New Zealand, South Island, Otago, Central Otago (12/9/2010)
Lovely floral and deep cherry, plum fruit, baking spice, thyme, and some mossy- sous bois on the nose. this has a surprising amount of perfume. Medium bodied and well balanced with good acid and freshness, not at all clumsy, as sometimes Central Otago becomes for me. Good structure and precision. This, for me, is at peak and unlikely to improve. It’s very enjoyable and while not a barn burner this is very lovely drink. Excellent. 89 pts (89 pts.)
