2004 Lisini Brunello di Montalcino - Italy, Tuscany, Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino (5/20/2010)
Wow this is a nice wine on a Thursday afternoon. Beautiful nose for such a young wine. ‘Old World’ all the way. Nose follows palate with complex tobacco, earth and damp leaves, cedar and flowers. Pretty ruby garnet color- no inky, black stuff here. Great structure to age. Lively acidity with tannic grip. Very good juice.
BdM seems to hit my Bordeaux buttons, but at a much earlier age. I don’t get the peanut butter I usually get with sangio. Very very nice.
