2004 La Chablisienne Chablis Vieilles Vignes - France, Burgundy, Chablis (8/5/2009)
Either I’m very easy to please…or this is a KILLER qpr Chablis??? Very correct lemon/lime acidity, sea shells, minerals, yeast dough, slight white honey creme, floral flowers. SUPER bright fruit of green apples, melon, sweet white peaches…crisp and cut nicely…complexed sea water funk, salt rock spice, celery stick. For $15, and absolute steal imo! Satisfies the Chablis craving on the cheap. (92 pts.)

You’re easy, but historically (for the past 7-10 years in my experience) it has been good QPR. The steps up in the hierarchy also offer value.

Hey this is Buzzini you’re talking about. His signature line used to say “Just subtract 5…” on some of the boards as I recall. No one and I mean NO ONE will EVER accuse Brian of a lack of enthusiasm, and I mean that in the best possible way!

Isn’t this the one Costco was selling for a while?

If so, I recall it being a great QPR as well - wish I had picked up a case.

Thanks for the note. I keep hearing good things about these wines and yet haven’t had any yet. I really need to start picking some up.
