TN: 2004 Kosta Browne Pinot Noir Russian River Valley

  • 2004 Kosta Browne Pinot Noir Russian River Valley - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (1/30/2010)
Classic KB RRV Pinot…dark and candied sandalwood spice fruit(raspberry/cherry), brown sugar, Dr Pepper tingle, dried herbs/rose petals. It’s NOT Burgundy…it’s classic Cali…big fruit and spice…very tasty! (93 pts.)

Brian - I wish I would have let my KB’s sit a while, as I wonder if they would integrate in such a way as to hide the higher alcohol that I’m not much a fan of (at least in the '06’s I bought and consumed).

thanks for the note, Buzz! i have gone through all my 04 appellations, but started with my 04 SVs (Amber Ridge was showing better than i thought it would)… and have a few 05s left… i still really enjoy their blends and will order the 08s next week

Thanks for the note. I’ve got one bottle left and was thinking of opening it in the near future. What are your impressions of how this is drinking now, versus about 3 years ago?
