2003 Kobalt – Lush smooth and full of the qualities I expect in my better cabernets from a much better vintage, this was surely the new contender for WOTN. I love this wine and can only imagine the selection process used in 2003. A QPR Cultish Cabernet. My number 2 of the night.

An excellent wine that is lush, full bodied, rich in fruit and cassis yet retains its balance - i did think that this summer’s tasting demonstrated more complexity, elegance with subdued tannins - i would recommend opening a bottle and enjoying
Agree about the 03 Kobalt, one of the better wines of the vintage when I had it two years ago. Actually preferred it to the Merus side by side. Also prefer it over the 04 and 05 Kobalt.
