TN: 2004 Etienne Sauzet Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Champs-Gain

  • 2004 Etienne Sauzet Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Champs-Gain - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru (3/25/2012)
Some green notes of mint and nettles to the aroma coupled with pure white peach, minerals and lemon. It is intense but compact and linear. There are flower petals strewn through the pear and peach fruit flavours and a big squeeze of lemon juice and some quinine bitterness ( kinda juniper like) punctuates the finish.

Sounds delicious.

Thanks for the note Jeremy. I had this a few years ago and thought it was excellent and that it needed a few more years. I bet it’s drinking wonderfully now.
