2004 Domaine Duclaux Côte-Rôtie - France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Côte-Rôtie (1/15/2010)
Much more high toned than the '03 that I love so much. Lots of forest notes, damp earth, pine, freshly cut wood, sage, hints of rhubarb. A medium bodied wine, the fruit played hide and seek as it evolved in the glass, coming and going without warning. I’d venture to say I opened it a tad young as it was coming together rather well by nights end. (87 pts.)
