Nothing about this wine - not the dark, limpid color, with no fading at the edge; not the spicy, aromatic nose; not even the pristine cork - suggested that it is 9+ years past its vintage.
The spiciness repeated on the entrance, followed by expansive black berry fruit, velvet texture, and just a hint of mushroomy earthiness on the lingering finish.
Very nice.
Nice note Bob !
Fleming posing a TN!
This must be the second, maybe third ever.
Hope you are well, my friend.
Been a while…
Wow, did you hold that one all of these years or source it elsewhere? I’m not sure I was on the list that far back but close. Also glad to see Alesia resurface again this year. Lots of Rhys that I love laid down here but it has been pushing my price limit lately!
Rick,
He had that one since release. He and I started purchasing about the same time.
Thanks. I have a bottle of this held since release. I know many had issues (Brett?) and a refund was offered, but I thought I would just hold mine. Good to hear about it.
