TN: 2004 Agharta

We popped this open to celebrate my return from a trip. Wow! Was I glad to be back. A beautiful nose of sweet cherries, a kiss of vanilla, and then a wave of dark fruit and licorice (?). A great first taste made up of multiple layers – more cherries, blackberry, and a hint of strawberry rhubarb pie. The finish was a beautiful, lengthy combination of sweet tannins and just the faintest hint of wood. Another absolute beauty. Can’t wait to try the 2005 Bordeaux blend. We had this with bacon bison burgers and grilled potatoes.
