2004 Agharta Wines - USA, California, North Coast (9/23/2014)
This is a very dense, elegant wine. It is dark purple/red in color. Notes of cherry and dark fruit on the nose. Vanilla and oak predominate on the palate, but the wine continues to open up in the glass. Each sip is quite good. Paired with a creamy tomato chicken pasta dish we made at home. I think that this will continue to get better over the next few years. It requires some air at present to really show. (95 pts.)
