TN: 2003 Outpost Petite Sirah The Other (USA, California, Napa Valley, Howell Mountain)

• 2003 Outpost Petite Sirah The Other - USA, California, Napa Valley, Howell Mountain (12/7/2009)
  Popped this to accompany Daniel Boulud’s “Red Wine Braised Short Ribs”. Mashed potatoes and sauteed brussel sprouts accompanied the short ribs.

Perfect match. This is drinking well out of the bottle and should drink well over the next 10 years. Nose is slight hint of pain grille (for Todd), graphite, creme de cassis, and black pepper. The palate is pretty full bodied with more cassis, leather, pepper, licorice and toasted bread. Medium long finish. Very nice wine.

Got two bottles in storage, should probably pop one to track ye olde progress.

Thing is I drink more beer than wine these days. Hmm.
