2003 Kosta Browne Pinot Noir Russian River Valley - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (8/24/2009)
One of the first KB’s I ever had…and one of the best imo. Still drinking well…big sandalwood/spice box spice, cola tingle, forest floor mulch, high toned wild berry/cherry/raspberry fruit. Still shows the Dr Pepper, brown sugar, and some Amaretto, dried herbs, leather…super tasty stuff, but does carry heat still, which I wish it wouldn’t. Love this wine…but after falling for the Burg bug…I can see why this might be off putting to some. The heat makes me knock it down a couple, but it is still a great drink. So long '03 RRV…my last bottle. (93 pts.)

This was my first KB. I ordered a bottle of it at Tra Vigne in Napa for my brothers 50th birthday. It was shortly after the WS review came out. I think it was only $50. It was mighty delicious and the only wine I remember from that day. Good times… Thanks for the note.
