2003 Domaine Bernard Morey et Fils Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Embrazées - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru (9/27/2014)
Drunk from magnum whilst watching the AFL grand final yesterday. It poured out all gleaming and fresh looking and still had a greenish tinge at the rim. It had a little mushroom development on the nose along with notes of spiced pear, candied citrus and ripe peach. It was full, dense and round in the mouth with plenty of fruit a little cream and a faint suggestion of butterscotch. Despite the low acid feel the wine finished fresh with real chewy dry extract.
