delicious flavors of custard, caramel, honeysuckle, vanilla cream, peaches and a touch of pineapple - creamy and rich - a little more unctuous texture and acidic backbone would bring this excellent sauternes to the next level. Better on day 2. drank with an apple tatin. (93 pts.)
I agree with your note. I think it is good, but in need of some more acid. That is kind of my general gripe about Suduiraut. Not to say that I don’t like the wines, but they push the boundaries of almost flabby to my taste. especially in a year like 03
I remember the 2003 Suduiraut from the UGC tasting a few years ago - it still sticks in my mind as it showed so brilliantly on the day. Sorry to hear it isn’t showing so well at the moment.
