2003 Château Duhart-Milon - France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac (2/26/2011)
Only have one of these and decided to give it a whirl. Decanted for about 2 hours before dinner. Pretty open all the way through but the decant did help. Nice aromas of lead pencil, minerals and fruit. The palate shows balanced red fruit flavors intermixed with a mineraliness, pepper and tobacco flavors. A nice suave texture and persistent finish. I wonder if I can find more of these for under $50. Paid $37 and that was a steal! (92 pts.)

Price wise this suffers from their ownership.
Interesting that it’s showing classic Pauillac aromas this young and from 03… thx Craig.
I think with its Domaine Barons de Rothschild name it pushes the price up more than it deserves based on what is in the bottle. Maybe some Parker points has an effect too - it is great for 37 dollars. The going rate looks to be a lot more than that.
Thanks for the note, but no way you’re finding this now for anywhere close to $50.
Unfortunately Duhart is now being sucked into the Lafite syndrome. Prices I’ve seen are starting to nudge past the $100 mark.
