tn: 2003 chamarre jurancon tradition

golden yellow in color with a citrus pulp, saline/salted caramel, apricot, cream soda, and oranges. layered but subtle aromatics.
flavors of honey, dried fruits, cardamom spice, white pepper,
honey like texture but not too sweet and with enough acidity to balance it out.
long spicy finish

as it warmed up a hint of key lime came through on the nose and the finish smoothed out and expanded
tasty!

overall a very nuanced and tasty bottle of wine and a good deal around $15 for a 375. not sure how it would age. we finished it tonight after a long evening of food and wine and it was overpowered by some cheesecake. it needs a very light dessert or to be drank on its own.
