    Violets, plums, white pepper. Absolutely smooth as silk. No apparent heat. Tart bright red fruit, on fish. Truly yummy. It reminds me that certain Bottlings from Turley can age past five yrs. (96 pts.)

Whoa … great showing! Moore “Earthquake” (planted in, go figure, 1906) is one of my favorite Turley vineyards.

I haven’t tried an earthquake yet, though I have one from 03 and 05. What other Turley vineyards (other than Hayne and earthquake) do you think are ageable?

I’ve only been on their mailing list for about five years, so my experience with older vintages is spotty, but everything I get from the Mead Ranch release is that it should be extremely long lived. It’s got some really nice angles but is comparatively restrained.

Had a 2007 Cedarman tonight. While (like most Turley’s) it hides its alcohol very well, it really put me on my ass.
