What a beautiful wine that has aged gracefully. Nose of pine needle filled forest floor, camphor and white pepper. Pure spice and earth. Just velvety smooth on the attack with lots of dark cherry fruit and then bright crisp acidity and flavors of bing cherry and apples on a long seamless finish. Went very well with roasted chicken and fingerling potatoes -as much fun to drink with food as it is on its own
Thank you, Jud.
I am an eternal fan of Fred Scherrer, and have a variety of his wines in the cellar. I look forward to seeing what they are like in a few years, if I can wait!
