2002 Ridge Lytton Springs - Admittedly a Geezer freak, I did buy some of these too in 2002 and must say, this is damn close to the quality of the Geyserville. Big and brambly, yet smooth and balanced. The nose is unmistakably Ridge-like, explosive and captivating. I am glad I have more of these, and they’re still drinking young, although not as primary as they were even two years ago. You all know the profile, this one delivers and has a solid decade+ ahead of it, with ballsy acidity and enough tannins to carry it the distance. A yummy joy ride! 91 points
Roy, sounds good. I just took delivery of a case of 2006 Lytton Springs and had to crack one. Pretty much the same thing you described. These will now get a few years of rest to be enjoyed later.
Good to hear the tradition of Geezer/Lytton lives on. I prefer them with a decade or more of age … as these tend to get really interesting as I am sure you know.
