TN: 2002 Paolo Bea Rosso de Véo Vino da Tavola

Dinner at Palate. This wine was a first for me, and vintage notwithstanding, I thought this was an outstanding wine of incredible finesse and character. Earthy notes of plums, cherries, cola nut and forest floor make this wine reminiscent of Burgundy. Sublime on the palate, with a satiny texture, hints of dried currants, and long, lingering white pepper-laced finish. A fascinating wine! Thanks, Jeff! (93 pts.)
