2002 István Szepsy Tokaji Cuvée - Hungary, Tokaji (9/29/2018)
My last bottle. I bought this in 2005 for $31 when we visited Istvan Szepsy in 2005 and brought it back from Hungary. This is not imported into the US. 11.3% alcohol. It had 176g/sugar and is the equivalent of a 6 Put wine. These Cuvee’s are made in a style for earlier drinking so I was pleasantly surprised that it was still going strong at 16 years old. Medium gold color. Solid acidity with notes of white peaches, nectarine and stone fruit. Long finish. 93 points.
