• 2002 DuMOL Pinot Noir Ryan - USA, California, Sonoma County, Green Valley (7/19/2009)
  Out of magnum. Overall a well made wine. The nose was quite obviously Green Valley with wonderful Pinot material. However there was just a touch of sweetness that was off putting. No signs of heat on the nose or palate, the wine was a bit rich and the finish was long and complete. This could have been several points higher without the sweetness. (91 pts.)

Always was curious how these wines taste. Great news about the richness, and too bad about the sweetness.

While this was well made, it wasn’t my cup 'o tea. A bit too ripe and over the top for a Pinot for me. But if this is the style you like, then you will surely like this wine. I’m not sure how well this will age and I’d probably recommend drinking sooner rather than later.
