2002 Domaine Georges Mugneret/Mugneret-Gibourg Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Les Chaignots - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru (2/11/2010)
Translucent garnet. Red fruits, cherry, spice, with a hint of earthiness on the nose. Red fruits, very nice acidity, some mineral aspects on the palate. Really a wonderful wonderful wine that, while still a little primary, is exactly the sort of thing I look for in wine – especially in burgundy. Extra-Double-Wow.

I think '02 is a great, somewhat underrated vintage, that has hit, and is still in, its drinking window at the 1er cru level. Glad to hear this one sang.
