- 2002 Domaine de L'Arlot Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru (6/22/2026)
Young vines Forets. Absolutely in the zone. Such crisp cherry fruit with florals nuance. Good flesh and nice mineral detail. A hint of meat and earth. Balanced and fine and expressive. Each sip invites another and the finish is long and wide.

Sounds lovely. Much experience with recent vintages? L’Arlot doesn’t get arlot of love around here, wondering if I should sample a few bottlings.
Hi Zach,
I haven’t drunk many of the recent offerings from L’Arlot. What I have had seem to be a bit deeper and modern compared to the Jean-Pierre de Smet era wines, which I love. So perfumed and ethereal.
kind regards
Jeremy

Last year had a 2002 Forets that was seriously ethereal, and also 2010 this year. On release the 2010 was a bit too strict, but drank beatifully at 16 yrs of age. You don;t hear or read much about them, but I love the wines and wish that I had more.
Thank you Jeremy, much appreciated.
