TN: 2002 Chartogne-Taillet Champagne Fiacre (France, Champagne)

  • 2002 Chartogne-Taillet Champagne Fiacre - France, Champagne (12/31/2010)
Apples, fresh bread, and lemon zest on the nose. The first sip reveals delicious acidity with balanced hard nectarines, warm croissants, and a hint of granny smith apple. The mid-palate satisfies with a zing of acidity and more delicious fruit. The finish ends on a bread/yeast note; lasting at least 8 seconds. Overall a delicious wine that was enjoyed for over an hour. I will seek out more of this, excellent value at this price point. I also believe this could cellar for many years and improve further. Nice note on one of my all time faves. Please adjust score higher [bow.gif]

This could easily go 1-4 points higher with age. I will find out; I will be buying a case of this at this price point.
